Voice Lessons
For several years Betsy has “secretly” taught voice lessons to both current Broadway performers and friends of friends. It’s been hard to find regular pockets of time to devote to teaching due to her relentless performing schedule, making it impossible to “open up” the studio to new students. After many requests, she is absolutely thrilled to offer very limited slots to work with some new faces! Lessons will be on an extremely limited first come, first serve basis.
Betsy’s Teaching Style
Betsy considers herself a vocal technician. She is not a rehearsal pianist. If you are seeking someone to accompany you to help you learn a song, there are specific coaches for that and please seek them out.
Betsy helps people find their authentic, natural voice throughout the full spectrum of their range. Even more specifically, she loves helping students find & strengthen their belt in a healthy, progressive way. Most singers she’s found throughout the years, even some incredible talents, have no idea what they're capable of achieving because they simply don't understand how to properly access their voice beyond what they’ve always done. They’ve labeled, or someone else has labeled, their limitations. Betsy thrives and has been extremely successful when demystifying these limitations and coaching students to sing things they never believed they could. It’s simply beyond rewarding. It takes time and patience and you must be willing to put in the work.
Betsy will work with students ages 15+.
